Our strategists and our specialist Colour & Materials team collaborated on a three-part project to investigate how personal tech design will need to align with evolving consumer lifestyles by:

  • Examining in depth how and why future global consumer lifestyle macro trends will impact on product design, and how pioneer brands are beginning to innovate in response
  • Producing four need-to-know colour and materials forecasts for 2019 onwards, each illustrated with examples of innovative design and category developments
  • Creating cutting-edge visual colour directions to highlight mood, key hues, and applications, with concise future insights for each trend


The brand’s product development team used our detailed colour, material and finish forecasts and mood boards as a jumping-off point to begin planning their global design strategy for the next two years. Our team played an important role in shaping how the personal tech we all use in the 2020s will look and feel.
